Nairy Kazandjian is an ESL special education teacher and content creator.

Due to her love for English language arts, she completed her first undergraduate degree in English Literature. She later decided to pursue a second bachelor's in Education to enable her to share her passion. As an ESL teacher, she has found that the best way to reach her students is to use relatable and authentic material. Nairy has a Master's in Education from McGill University in educational and Counseling psychology, through her education she has expanded her knowledge of effective classroom instruction and inclusive practices. However, her love for learning doesn’t stop there, she is currently a PhD student at Université de Montreal, researching effective interventions to increase student perseverance, grit and meaning in life.

Along with Sophie Giroux, Nairy won the ministry pedagogical award "prix étincelle: reconnaissance en lecture" in 2023. She is also the author of her children's book "Not Like Mine" which is written with ESL students in mind.

Finally, all of this comes together in the educational content that she creates and shares with you.

Not Like Mine is her first children’s book, and is written using simple text and repetition, keeping the young ESL learner in mind.
